HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

If you are interested in joining rehearsals for LawchestraQ, or staying up to date on our events and future initiatives, you can fill out the Expression of Interest Form below to express your interest. TLF Creative runs LawchestraQ for lawyers, law students and others associated with the legal profession in Brisbane. Therefore, we are calling on anyone involved with the law in Brisbane who plays an instrument (i.e. strings, woodwind, brass, guitar, bass, percussion etc) to express their interest in being part of our ensembles, which rehearse from March to November at the Old Museum Building.

We hope to expand not only to other ensembles but also to other art forms such as drama, art and dance. As such, please contact us if you would be interested in any other activities or ensembles.

ANNUAL CONCERTS

We perform up to 4 concerts per year.

Since 2019, we have held our Finale Concert in November or December in the Old Museum Building Concert Hall. Since 2022, our ensembles have performed Sunday afternoon concerts at Brisbane City Hall and Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens as part of Brisbane City Council’s ‘Bands in Parks’ program, with the support of MetroBands.

In April 2024, we performed in a joint concert with the Queensland Medical Orchestra (QMO), an event with an audience of over 900 people. Musicians of the legal profession and medical profession combined to promote mental wellbeing, where proceeds of the concert was donated to the charity Letters of Hope.
